Friends of Chapel Green School
Friends of Chapel Green School was established in 1974.
We are a group of individuals committed to raise much needed funds for the School.
Historically we have done this by holding an annual Fete in the summer and a Christmas Fayre. We have also organised Quiz nights and Grand Draw Raffles.
The Committee is a mixture of retired individual, business directors, parents of children within the school, the head teacher, deputy Head, and members of staff.
The money we raise goes directly to school to enhance pupils learning and the equipment needed to support their learning needs. In the past we have raised money for a new bus, repairs to the pool and purchase of new changing beds.
The money we raise goes directly to school to enhance pupils learning and the equipment needed to support their learning needs.
Our annual committed expenditure supports pupils by giving classes funds to purchase extra-curricular items for their class to enhance learning. The Friends pay for minibus tax and servicing, which allow our pupils to have activities away from school and our greatest pleasure is to provide funds for all the pupils annual Christmas and leavers presents.
We would like to thank you for all your donated items and gifts over the years in helping to raise funds. We would not be able to make the difference without your support.
WE NEED YOU...We are looking for new members to join the Friends committee, to inject new ideas and help with planned/planning activities to raise money for the school. If you would like to help but cannot commit to being on the committee, would you be able to be on a list of volunteers that we can call on for help at fetes or activities? Your support is very much needed to see us through this new transition into a new school.
If you are able to spare some time and would like to speak to someone about friends or would like to join the committee, please contact the school office and we will pass your information on to the Chair of Friends.
